VISIT OF SERTEGO GROUP AT CARTIF UNIVERSITY FACILITIES AND COLLABORATION BETWEEN LIFE PAVETHEWAYSTE WORKING GROUP

13/07/2017: Collaboration between LIFE PAVEtheWAySTE and the group SERTEGO

On July 13th, representatives of the LIFE PAVEtheWAySTE project met at CARTIF facilities with María Bartolomé, from the SERTEGO group, to analyze possible collaboration paths in waste management in remote areas.

SERTEGO is one of the main operators in the industrial waste management sector in Spain, responsible for the treatment of more than 900,000 waste tons during 2015. The company is in charge of all phases of the management cycle, from collection and transport, until the development of industrial waste (both hazardous and non-hazardous) recovery, recycling, valorization, regeneration and disposal processes development. Currently, SERTEGO operates waste treatment facilities in the Balearic and Canary Islands.

The collaboration with SERTEGO could, in the future, promote the replication of waste management model developed under the PAVEtheWAySTE project.
