On 30th of May the Municipality of Ancient Olympia in collaboration with the scientific team of National Technical University of Athens and the scientific coordinator of the project, Professor Maria Loizidou organized a first introduction event for the recycling systems at the installation area of the prototype recycling system, near the Old Municipality Building. The introductory event of the LIFE PAVEtheWAySTE project took place in the framework of the Environmental Program of the Higher Education Directorate of Ilia Region. The Directorate announced the winners of the Trash Art Competition which lasted from February – May 2018. More than 120 artistic projects created by Gymnasium - Lyceum students competed under the topic of “Recycling – Cycle of Recreation”.
